Student Presentations

A Machine Learning/Deep Learning Hybrid for Augmenting Teacher-LED Online Dance Education
Catherine Hung
AI in combination with the fine arts can produce unique innovations. This student trained her AI to understand and teach ballet to students, making dance education accessible and affordable to many aspiring students.

Cybersecurity Defense with Deep Learning: Leveraging GANs to Improve Intrusion Detection Systems
Nitin Krishnaswamy
Cyber attacks are on the rise, with the annual cost of cybercrime predicted to reach $10.5 trillion by 2025. This student used deep learning to enhance the security of intrusion detection systems.

A Novel, AI-based Web App to Detect Benign vs Malignant Oral Lesions from Intraoral Mobile Camera Images
Mahima Wuppalapati
Oral cancer is believed to be the 13th most common cancer worldwide. This student created a web app that utilizes AI to accurately identify and differentiate between benign and malignant oral lesions using images captured from an intraoral mobile camera.

Hydroponic Lettuce: Navigating Nutrient Deficiencies
Aisha Risvi
Hydroponic lettuce cultivation offers a soilless and controlled environment for growing nutrient-rich lettuce with efficient water usage and optimal growth conditions. This student used AI to navigate and control possible nutrient deficiencies when growing hydroponic lettuce.

Accessible Machine Learning Classifier For Rapid Emergency Self-Diagnostics (ALFRED)
Vatsal Sivaratri
ALFRED is an accessible and user-friendly solution that assists individuals dealing with epidermal abrasions, such as cuts, burns, and lacerations. This student's app reduces the response time for users to reach out to emergency services and other necessary contacts during times of danger and provides valuable info on injuries.

Real-time Waste Segregation at the Individual Level: The Smart Waste Sorter
Shriya Shukla
Recognizing that improper waste disposal contributes to global warming and landfill accumulation, this student developed an innovative solution called the Smart Waste Sorter. This device utilizes AI to identify whether a piece of trash belongs in the correct bin, and uses audible beeps to alert users when an item is being improperly disposed of.

Building a Smarter Surveillance System: Real-Time Animal Identification using Deep Learning
Jordan Labio
This student developed an advanced system that utilizes deep learning algorithms to identify and classify animals in real-time, enhancing wildlife monitoring and conservation efforts.

Artificial Intelligence Assisted Violin Performance Learning
Hannah Zhang
This student utilized AI to enhance the process of learning to play the violin. Combining AI with instrument learning, this project harnesses the power of artificial intelligence to revolutionize learning, providing personalized guidance, feedback, and analysis for aspiring musicians

The Multi-Tier Artificial Intelligence Prediction Architecture: A Novel Approach to Intracranial Hemorrhage Detection
Shiven Balaji
Intracranial hemorrhage refers to bleeding that occurs within the skull, leading to the accumulation of blood. AI can be utilized in intracranial hemorrhage detection and diagnosis by analyzing medical images, assisting healthcare professionals in making accurate and timely decisions for treatment.

Hate Speech Detection
Naiya Daswani
Online hate speech can have detrimental effects, leading to lowered self-esteem, increased psychological distress, and fostering a toxic online environment. This student developed a service called Filter'd, which detects and classifies hate speech using AI. This project aims to create a safer place for youth on social media and other online platforms.
