Forecasting Alzheimers with AI and Multi-Modal Data

Danika Gupta - The Harker School, CA

Alzheimer's is a progressive disease, which means it gets worse over time. It causes the connections between brain cells to degenerate and die due to which different sections of the brain cannot properly communicate with each other, which makes it harder for the patients to carry out their daily activities. If doctors can identify Alzheimer's earlier, they can start treatment sooner. Danika's AI helps detect Alzheimers by looking at MRI's and making it effective and easier to diagnose it in the early stages.
